The darkness of the world is no match for the children of God. The one who said "Let there be light"
has shined deeply into our very hearts. In scripture we are called "children of light" and "children of the
day."
The light that is in us is so bright that
one day that same light will illuminate the New Jerusalem, that heavenly city (Rev. 21:13). No need for sun or moon in that
day. The glory of the Lord will be the illumination.
The
same glory is to rest in and on us. We are the temples of God filled with the light and glory of Jesus. All nations will one
day come to our rising. Let's see ourseleves as God sees us. The glory of the Lord steadily rising in us. And as a result,
the nations are attracted to the life and light of Jesus. We have so much to look forward to. Let's not be overly attached
to this world and temporal romances. The best is yet to come.
Proverbs 4:18 says, "But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect
day."
